Jungian Psychodrama - New for 2026
Both Jung and Jacob Moreno (the creator of psychodrama) thought it was important to explore what is alive in our imagination – our dreams, our fantasies, our hopes and to face our fears. If we can integrate what’s alive in our unconscious with our conscious self, we can individuate and become more functional and more fully alive. They both developed methods to do that. Their methods are complementary.
Moreno wrote:
“Psychodrama is a method of investigating the truth of Soul by action.”
and
“Psychodrama is an attempt to bridge the dualism between fantasy and reality, and to restore their original unity.”
Jung wrote:
“All the works of man have their origin in creative fantasy. What right have we then to depreciate imagination.”
and
“Wholeness is not achieved by cutting off a piece of one’s being, but by integration of the contraries.”
and
“The dream gives a true picture of the subjective state, while the conscious mind denies that this state exists, or recognises it only grudgingly.”
We are excited to be offering a course in Jungian Psychodrama. Both Gavin and I have been involved with psychodrama and training to be facilitators for a number of years. It is our great pleasure to combine it with a Jungian understanding. The participants are expected to have an understanding of Jung’s work. We are happy to teach the process and terms needed for psychodrama. It is an opportunity to explore what’s alive for you – in your dreams, your life and your psyche.
